The International College for Personal and Professional Development (ICPPD) is currently conducting interviews for its accredited three-year part-time Diploma in Holistic Counselling, which begins in September.
Classes take place on evenings and weekends and the course is open to adult learners (aged 23 and above). The college is also currently accepting applications to its Introductory Certificate in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, also starting in September.
ICPPD offers a number of courses aimed at assisting people with their personal and professional development. Professional Diplomas in Advanced Reflexive Supervision and Expressive Arts and other workshops and training will also commence in the autumn.
ICPPD offers a number of programmes throughout the academic year and the following programmes are commencing soon: 10 Week (30 hours) Personal Development Course, Professional Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Professional Certificate in Psychosynthesis and a Certificate in Mindfulness, for personal and professional support as well as an eight-week online programme in Mindfulness.
ICPPD was set up in 2009, to inspire, encourage and support people on their path towards wholeness and wellness. The goal of the organisation is to provide programmes of excellence that promote integration, creativity and spirituality and are available to a community of adult learners financially, academically and culturally.
ICPPD's goal is becoming a leading provider of accredited personal and professional programmes with a difference, nationally and internationally at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college is the combined community of learners and staff. The programmes are different, the tutors are different, and the adult learners are different. That difference is ICPPS's integrated approach whereby the learner is understood to be an active participant in the relationship between the college, the tutor and the learner. ICPPD's tutors are regarded as leading clinicians and researchers in their chosen areas.
ICPPD began out of a need to create a learning environment where people were valued and affirmed for their life experiences and academic achievements. ICPPD has a unique environment, ethos and culture that is attractive to adult learners, who travel from all parts of the country.
As a third level college in the Midlands, ICPPD is gaining - by testimonials and word of mouth - a reputation for student care and academic excellence. The college is a leading provider of holistic counselling and psychotherapy training and education in Ireland. Based in Garden Vale, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, ICCPD offers programmes in Athlone, Belfast, Dublin, Galway and Wexford
The founders of ICPPD, Tom and Christine Moran, are coming from twenty years working as accredited counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors in their practice at New Beginnings Counselling Service, Ltd. They lectured on training degree programmes for ten years prior to opening ICPPD.
